LLIS Insurance Academy: Better Than That Golden OscarThe Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has Oscar. The LLIS Insurance Academy has a whole team of gold stars. 52 fee-only financial advisors traveled to sunny Tampa, Florida last week for a “spring break” like none other. It was two days of intense learning from an integrated curriculum consisting of presentations, case studies, roundtable discussions, and interactive sessions. With a series of presentations centered around “The Great Race of Life: Successfully Navigating Your Clients To The Finish Line” (theme adapted from Blake Edwards’ The Great Race), advisors learned the nuts and bolts of:
And evaluated what’s under the hood of these solutions for a more in-depth review of each product. Our Academy was emceed by Judith Maurer (aka, The Great Race’s Maggie Dubois), and there were special appearances by Keith Maurer as Professor “Don’t Leave it to Fate” (aka, The Great Race’s Professor Fate) and Mark Maurer as The Great LLISie (aka, The Great Race’s The Great Leslie). And with races of a different kind – the Olympics – beginning in Sochi, Thursday night’s dinner became a Whodunit-Olympic-Style Murder Mystery. The goal of this Academy: to break down the barriers that often prevent advisors from assisting clients with insurance. Insurance can be difficult; there’s an abundance of paperwork; and product changes seem the norm. But with a team of gold stars behind them, who are among the most accomplished men and women working in the insurance industry, these advisors are sure to be celebrated for their achievements in successful solutions to their clients’ legacy and financial planning.
